Take a class!
We have beginner's drop-in workshops every month, which are taster sessions.
We teach 8-week courses for beginners, GIT 101, which is the place to get started!
No improv or performance experience is necessary and it's a fun and supportive environment!

Students can miss up to 2 classes in an 8 week course, and still be eligible to sign up for the next level. Please let your teacher know of any absences, or email [email protected]

We offer several shows where you can submit your team to perform!
We also offer regular performance slots to our GIT House Team performers, at Harold Night and other shows.
We hold auditions in July/August every year.
The audition process is open to all, however knowledge and experience performing The Harold is required.
We recommend students audition after taking GIT 301, or equivalent at another theatre.

An improv jam is akin to a standup open-mic. Anyone is allowed to perform, whether beginner, intermediate, or veteran. You are able to just watch from the audience, if you want to see how they work first. If you want to perform, you will be put into a jam “team” of around 6-8 people, and the team will improvise scenes based off of a word suggestion.
At all our GIT jams we have experienced improvisers in each team keeping things on the rails, so don't worry!
